Through the support of our general manager members, who are passionate about investing in our future leaders, our Next Gen Membership Scholarships are for local government employees who are under the age of 35 who would like to experience the benefits of being a part of our member community.

Nominations are now closed for 2023.

What's Included

This year we will be awarding 50 up and coming leaders with a complimentary LG Professionals, NSW membership - valid through to 30 June 2024.

Eligibility

To be eligible to receive on of our Next Gen Scholarships, you just need to:

  • Be under the age of 35 years at time of application
  • Employed (not on contract) at a NSW council
  • Not be an existing member and haven't been a member with LG Professionals, NSW in the past 24 months.
  

Selection

Nominations will be judged by our LG Professionals, NSW team based on eligibility and responses to the application questions. 

Where possible, scholarships will be evenly awarded across large and small councils from metro, regional and rural councils.
