Retired Member

Who can apply?

Any current individual member who is over 58 years of age, who is no longer employed or working in a paid capacity but has worked in local government for more than 12 months during their life and has formally applied in writing to the Chief Executive Officer to have their membership status changed from a professional member to a retired member.

Professional membership must be held for a minimum of 12 months immediately prior to applying for retired membership status.
