Having completed a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney he was thrown in at the deep end when the 1987 stock market crash hit just two weeks after he joined NAB Treasury wholesale money-market and fixed-interest desks.

Andrew’s clients at NAB included institutions such as AMP, BT Funds Management as well as many other fixed-interest asset managers. He was intimately involved in all money market instruments, bonds, floating rate notes and derivatives such as swaps, floating rate agreements and options.

Andrew has been heavily involved in financial markets education, having been an exam marker and lecturer for SIA/FINSIA/Kaplan since 1994. He has also been a FINSIA Fellow since 2000, and a certified professional with the Finance and Treasury Association (FTA) since 2015.

During this time Andrew also explored a career change and studied Directing at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. After a very enjoyable 10-years directing a wide range of projects Andrew was drawn back to the financial markets. Using his experience from a diverse 20 years he formed Curve Securities offering a money-market and fixed income service where experienced professions stand shoulder to shoulder with their clients to create opportunities and provide insights that elevate their performance. An early focus on advanced cloud technology enabled Curve to build a term deposit platform second to none. The continual advancement of these proprietary systems, along with great staff and fantastic clients, have facilitated Curve’s growth to administer over $6 Billion in deposits.
