The Aspiring Leaders Mentoring Program is a development opportunity for leaders who wish to improve their ability to lead and manage their direct reports.
Through a variety of learning mediums, the program builds over five days in class learning days and two online coaching sessions, developing their leadership communication skills. The skills will centre around owning communication as a leader in everyday interactions, performance improvement, dealing with conflict and presenting to an audience.
Aspiring Leaders will be paired with an experienced local government professional to support their professional development and career goals. Through regular meetings the Aspiring Leader will be able to objectively sound board ideas or concerns, further develop their networks and advance program related tasks. The Aspiring Leader will also have access to content experts, discussing hot topics affecting local government, ensuring the subject matter is relevant and innovative.

the Aspiring Leaders Mentoring Program will bring emerging leaders together from across the state to take part in an accessible, engaging and inspirational program.
