Building Resilience in a Team

All people can be resilient; bounce back from challenges and rise to overcome obstacles. However, not everyone shares these abilities in equal measure and not every situation is the same. To build a resilient team, you first need to understand what hinders our ability to be resilient and why, so we can create an environment where all team members are able thrive. Empowering team members to act, to think laterally, take initiative and solve problems for themselves and deal with the ever-changing working environment.

Key content

  • Good stressors and bad stressors: some challenges are motivating and stimulating, and others hinder our ability to be resilient.
  • Shared vision and direction: where is the business going, what are our parts, how can we own our  contribution.
  • Positive communication: ensuring our language and framing of situations is expressed in a positive way.
  • Empowering others to act: planning to think logically and laterally. Cultivating an environment of initiative.
  • Motivation: Understanding the unique ways and  reasons each of us are motivated to act.
  • Leading with integrity: leading from the front, demonstrating commitment to the success plan.
