Next Gen is a unique development opportunity for aspiring leaders and new managers in local government. At the conference we bring together younger leaders from NSW councils for two powerful half day sessions specifically designed for emerging leaders.
 
The conference is an opportunity for you to step out of the day-to-day and shift your focus towards creating a better sector, now and into the future. You will benefit from the session outcomes, insights from the speakers and a growing network of Next Gen colleagues from around the state.

Although the program is focused on our young and upcoming leaders, this conference is open to all council employees wanting to gain new leadership skills.

This year we will be hosting the conference a little differently, it will be delivered online via a series of engaging and relevant sessions that you can view from the comfort of your home or office space. Sessions will be across two half days from 10.00am - 1.30pm each day, discounted full conference registration will include access to both days, including panel discussions and speaker and sponsor Q&A. Single day registration is also available. 

A "Boardroom Broadcast" package option is available for councils that will allow staff to come together safely in either your boardroom or council chambers to experience the conference content in the one place. This option allows for unlimited colleagues from different departments to join in on the sessions and then discuss the content and new learnings together.

How will the Boardroom Broadcast work? A zoom link will be sent through to the registered contact where they will be able to access the session and stream in councils boardroom or council chambers. All involved will still have the opportunity to ask speakers and sponsors questions, we just ask that those wishing to speak are close to a microphone so that we can hear you clearly.

This option is a great opportunity for cross department interaction and collaboration.

Not available to attend the live conference? We now have the option to register to receive the full conference recording to watch at a time that suits you. All speaker presentations and recordings from each session will be provided 1-2 weeks after the conference has finished. Please note this registration option does not give access to attend the live stream.
